Not to be outdone by his ex Kylie Jenner, who’s been making big real estate purchases recently, rapper Travis Scott took some inspiration from the cosmetics guru and also splurged on a new home.
The ‘Stargazing’ singer is one of the top-paid rappers in the world and can reportedly earn $40 to $60 million a year when touring. That said, Scott could certainly afford his multi-million-dollar acquisition.
New Crib
News sources reported that the father of one had dropped $23.5 million on a new mansion in the hills of Brentwood in Los Angeles. Sounds like a lot, huh?
Well, that’s already a discounted price, as the property was initially listed for $42 million. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, though, given how the global pandemic affected the luxury real estate market.
Scott certainly got a great deal on the place—the mansion spans 16,700 square feet and features seven bedrooms.
The purchase was a big one for the rapper as it was the first mansion he bought on his own. He first purchased an estate with his former billionaire girlfriend in 2018 for $13 million.
Since breaking up, Jenner has moved on to buy several other homes, including her Holmby Hills residence. The mansion is located near the famed Playboy Mansion and cost the 22-year-old $36.5 million.
Decked Out
Inside, the mansion features a floor-to-ceiling wood sculpture made by Toshi Kawabata. The entryway artwork leads to a great room, which has its own wet bar and dining areas.
More space for lounging and dining can be found just beyond a wall of glass sliders that open out to the patio outside. This space can be great for hosting, thanks to the poolside cabana and outdoor kitchen.
The home also has plenty of spaces dedicated to entertainment and wellness, such as the game room, second wet bar, gym, sauna, and home theater.
If Scott decided to host big parties, his mansion’s temperature-controlled wine room would certainly come in handy. The room can reportedly hold as many as 650 bottles of wine.
Meanwhile, the home’s bedrooms are located upstairs and are accessible via the two elevators in the mansion.
The master’s suite has its own spa-style bathroom and private balcony. The cavernous room also has not one but two walk-in closets.
The residence has 20 parking spaces and is built on an acre of land.
