Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been surrounded by rumors regarding the state of their marriage lately. That didn’t stop them from making moves to ensure the future of their children, though.
A source recently revealed that the parents have set up an incredible gift for their eldest daughter North West in the future.
Waiting to Turn 21
As the source told Hollywood Life, the power couple has set aside a trust fund for the seven-year-old girl. The catch though, is that she can only access it once she turns 21 years old.
The source shared that the money is to make sure that the girl won’t have to work a day in her life. Her rapper dad also wanted to ensure that North would be able to leave her mark in the world through the things she creates in the future.
That said, the girl seems to be already on her way to doing just that. She’s been performing with West in various events in the past and has composed her original song as well.
North will turn 21 in 2034. By that time, the $5 million her parents have set aside now would be $10 million and ready for her to spend.
Just a Gift
Of course, $10 million seem like it isn’t that much given the size of her parents’ fortune. The source did clarify, though, that the trust fund is just birthday money and can be seen as just spending money.
West reportedly wants North always to be able to live the life she’s going to be accustomed to. He and the reality star reportedly have something more set up for their daughter in case something happens to either of them in the future.
However, it remains unknown whether Kardashian and West have also created similar trust funds for their younger children: Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Loaded Parents
What’s sure though, is that there’s plenty to go around for the rest of the Kardashian-West kids. After all, their parents currently boast of having a combined fortune of $1.65 billion.
Their rapper-turned-businessman dad is pulling in the big bucks thanks to his successful fashion venture with Yeezy. Meanwhile, their mom is busy managing multiple product lines as well as her advocacy for criminal justice reform.
